Wall of History
ABN AMRO, Amsterdam (NL), 2021
The ‘Wall of History’ tells the story of how ABN AMRO has evolved from a bank that contributes to society into one that consciously works to help make the world a better place.
A hidden collection
For many years, the bank’s corporate history collection remained unseen by visitors and staff alike. Studio Louter was asked to visualize that collection in an appealing way. To this end, we designed a digital triptych in the lobby of the bank's headquarters.
On three screens short videos are shown that give a unique insight into the history of the bank and the Dutch economy through the years. The historical images and objects from the collection are interspersed with current affairs to make the link to the present.
Slavery history
On the occasion of Keti Koti, a temporary exhibition was opened in the hall. For this we made special films that depicted the results of the research into the bank's slavery past.
