A planet teeming with life
Museum of Natural Sciences, Brussels (BE), 2020
The earth teems and blooms with life. It may look chaotic, but the exhibition ‘Living Planet’ reveals hidden structures.
Biodiversity
Mammals, insects and other organisms live close together and in harmony with their surroundings. This interconnectedness makes the planet more than the sum of its parts. The diversity of animals and plants and the relationships between them are the focus of the ‘Living Planet’ exhibition at the Museum of Natural Sciences in Brussels, part of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences.
Media that serve the story
The museum designed the storyline of the exhibition, which features more than 800 animals. Studio Louter fleshed out the story with digital components. Interactive screens, projections and games reveal the connections and interdependence uniting all life on earth. Together, they tell the story of a living planet, where humanity, like any species, has its place.
“The new wing highlights the importance of the diversity of life on earth.”
